The Joy + Grief Garden

A collection of intimate stories and poems about the cycles of love, life and death as I journey from making films to starting a family and becoming a native farmer in Cornwall.  When the farm rent rises steeply, my family and animals move to the Outer Hebrides with the dream to build a home.  The rhythm of tending the animals and land anchors life when illness turns life into a waking nightmare.  In time, the new home is built with the gradual reconciliation that my husband is no longer with us.
